Carpet Track News
Last week we signed the lease for the old Family Dollar Store. This is a huge milestone for the club. All the hard work, dedication and participation, from everyone involved since the beginning of October 2008 has paid off. We now have a permanent indoor carpet track and dedicated outdoor space for summer racing. There have certainly been some bumps along the way, but when the day is done, we have accomplished what many others have only dreamed of… A Permanent Race Facility; Organized, Paid For, and Managed by, On Road Racers!! Congratulations to Everyone! We will take possession of the new space on July 1st, 2009. Between now and then, we will put together a game plan for the move, and discuss the available options for track layout and pit area. Date for a meeting will be announced soon; please plan to attend if possible. I look forward to a successful outdoor season, being able to race carpet over the summer, and the upcoming winter indoor season.
